Cherry Romaine Smoothie

The lettuce/herb smoothie the other day was such a success, I decided to try it again this morning changing it up a bit.  Here you go!

Cherry Romaine Smoothie

1 cup milk (I used 2%.)

2 handfuls herb baby romaine

1 cup cherries

1/3 cup yogurt

2 bananas

Put the milk and the lettuce in the blender and mix well.  Once that’s mixed up, gradually add the rest  (stopping the blender between ingredients.)  I thought this was really tasty.  Both kids liked it as well!  It would be very easy to change what type of greens you put in your smoothie.  Kale, spinach, whatever you want!

Cherries

Fresh cherries, just washed—
beads of ruby strewn across
white bowl’s shiny gloss—
dainty stems crisscrossed.
