Callie Berry Crush Smoothie

This smoothie is very similar to the “Blueberry-Banana Power Smoothie” I made the other day.  The kids liked this one a little more because it wasn’t so thick.  I, however, liked both!

Callie Berry Crush Smoothie

2 handfuls blueberries

1 handful strawberries

1 banana

1/2 tsp vanilla essence (extract)

10 Tbsp soy milk (we used whole milk.)

Put it all in the blender and mix until smooth.  The author of the book promotes this as her vegan friend Callie’s favorite smoothie.  Hence the name.  Stars: 5 energy, 1 detox, 3 immunity, 2 digestion, 3 skin.

Blueberry- Small in size, big in flavour and goodness, blueberries are laden with antioxidant nutrients such as vitamins A and C, as well as bioflavonoids.  They yield a rich, sweet flavour and give a blended drink blue specks.  The berries are good for overcoming bladder problems, as well as boosting immunity and protecting the eyes and blood vessels.
