I went to the store yesterday and stocked up on tons of fruits and some veggies. As soon as the kids got home from school yesterday, they both requested I make them some juice! “Will I make you some juice?” ABSOLUTELY!
I asked them last night what they would like in their morning smoothies. My son requested something with watermelon and my daughter wanted something with blueberry. I didn’t have much problem finding recipes for these fruits. Here’s what I made him with watermelon.
1/2 pineapple (I used unsweetened frozen pineapple chunks for this and put them in the microwave for a minute to thaw them a little. I probably used 3/4 cup-1 cup.)
a dash of orange juice
This one was really good. My son liked it a lot too. I don’t know how the frozen fruits compare to the fresh as far as nutrients go, but here are the stars: 5 energy, 1 detox, 3 immunity, 3 digestion, 3 skin.
*Remember, this is a smoothie, meant for the blender.
