It’s Saturday morning and my daughter and I wanted some tasty smoothies for breakfast! The produce in this house is diminishing quickly so we were pretty limited on what we were able to make. We each made one. Her’s required a little modifying due to lack of ingredients.
1 cup low-fat milk
1 (6 oz) carton low-fat orange yogurt (we used 4 oz of vanilla)
1 large orange, peeled and quartered
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix all these things up in the blender until smooth and creamy. Since we were short on yogurt, it was pretty runny. We thought it needed to be a little thicker, so we added a banana. Both of us enjoyed the taste. It had a very smooth creamy texture. Very nice. She prepared the whole thing too which I think made it taste better to her. 🙂 Just a little tip to help get some goodness in your kids.
